The ACS Pro 26 Drivercom takes all the great features of our original motorsport ear plugs and adds to it. We discovered a need for a product which would give the user some ambient earing allowing for more situational awareness to hear engine and exhaust notes and also for hearing safety cues such as warning alarms and sirens while still protecting the hearing of the user. At earLAB, we combined our tried and tested Pro 26 hearing protection filter and the ACS Drivercom to create the perfect motorcycle ear plugs, perfect for communication and hearing protection. Recent studies have shown that using specialized racing ear plugs can significantly reduce the risk of hearing damage in high-noise environments like motorsports.
Using the softest silicone available the Pro 26 Drivercom is crafted to sit as flush in the ear as possible, this reduces the possibility of pressure being applied when wearing a crash helmet and ensures your motorsport ear plugs are able to flex to accommodate changes in the ear shape that occur when a helmet is worn. In addition, using a softer silicone ensures that isolation is maintained a tall times when in use, so you always get clear communication that's not clouded with outside noise. This design also helps in maintaining comfort during long racing sessions, which is crucial for professional drivers.
The Pro 26 Drivercom uses a single lightweight speaker that's been selected to deliver crystal clear communications and work perfectly with the majority of radio systems. Using balanced armature technology, the Drivercom speaker is compact enough to fit discreetly in the ear allowing us to keep the size and weight of your motorsport earpieces to a minimum whilst being powerful enough to ensure that you get a clear vocal signal. This technology is particularly beneficial in environments where clear communication can be a matter of safety.
Making sure that we use the right cable to deliver your sound is as important as every other aspect in the design of our motorsport ear plugs, so we make sure they are just as well thought out. Starting with the best conductive core we then add kevlar threads for strength and flexibility so that we can be sure you'll get the performance you demand. Each cable is sheathed with a special finish that reduces the transmission of friction noise to the earpieces so there's as little interference as possible. The cable is then clamped at the Y divide with a custom pressed lengthened binder to give it extra strength where you need it most. The Pro 26 Drivercom can be made with a standard length(30cm) or a specified length up to 1.4-meter cable depending on which is most suitable for your application. Customization feature ensures that the racing ear plugs can be tailored to fit the specific needs of different racing environments.
Protect your ears during motorsport and motorcycling actives with our earpieces, made to flex and accommodate changes in ear shape when wearing a tightfitting crash helmet. Designed in the UK and manufactured in Australia, New Zealand, UK and the USA, ear LAB’s quality made motorsport earpieces will be able to provide you with the right level of noise protection, while also allowing you to hear necessary safety cues and alarms. The importance of hearing protection in motorsports must be constantly emphasized, this is one of the primary precautions in world-renowned races; Because not only the prolonged exposure to the high decibel levels of the race, but also the noise of the wind can cause tinnitus and hearing loss.
Available in a range of different designs and colours, our lightweight Pro Drivercom racing ear plugs will give you the relief you need during competitions.
The original Drivercom is our older model and is our more affordable option, while the PRO 26 and 27 Drivercom are the more advanced models. The PRO 27 is best for motorcyclists, since it has a good attention towards high frequency noise which is made via wind shear whilst driver with a helmet on. The PRO 26 on the other hand has a Neutral Attenuation plug which provides an equally good reduction against most frequency of sound and therefore is more desirable when working with music or for overall coverage of attenuation protection such as with engine coverage.
The PRO 26 can swap filters with any of the lower dB filters, but the PRO 27 can only swap with the 31 dB filter.

Yes, if you participate in water sports and are prone to ear issues. They can make all the difference between an enjoyable hobby and one that leads to pain, hearing problems and worse.
It depends on your needs and budget. Many casual swimmers who don’t have ear issues can make do with off-the-shelf options. However, if you’re prone to ear infections like swimmer’s ear, have grommets (also known as ear tubes) or a ruptured eardrum, you’ll need custom moulded plugs that create a perfect watertight seal and keep your ear canal dry.
Yes – custom plugs can be made to fit any size ear. It’s especially important for children who’ve had grommets fitted to use swim plugs.
Absolutely. Swimmer’s ear happens when water is trapped in your ear canal, so the best solution is to avoid water entering your ear in the first place.
They can. Surfer’s ear, also known as extoses, are bony growths in the outer ear triggered by repeated exposure to cold water. By protecting your ear canal, earplugs can prevent them from forming, or getting worse.
While your custom product has the potential to last indefinitely, we recommend obtaining new ear impressions every 4 years. This is advised because the shape of your ear canals can undergo changes over time.
Swimmers, open water swimmers, surfers, surf instructors, kitesurfers, wind surfers, paddle boarders, wakeboarders, waterskiers, surf kayakers, white water kayakers, surf instructors, coasteering, watersport, SUP and more. They are not suitable for SCUBA diving or FREE diving.
No, some individuals perceive that earplugs impact balance, but it's merely a shift in spatial awareness. Using any type of earplug does not have any physical effects on your balance. Many surfers and open water swimmers use them without issue.
The objective is to achieve a snug, waterproof fit, our Swim Plugs and Pro-Aquaz will generally accomplish this. However, we cannot provide a guarantee due to the anatomical variability in people's ears. Nonetheless, in all scenarios, the flushing effect of water and wind chill will be minimised, and it is this reduction that will aid in preventing Surfers Ear, Swimmer’s ear and ear infections
Aboslutely, if you've encountered surfers ear, dealt with infections, or faced downtime from the water due to surgery or waiting for antibiotics during any water sports, then the answer is a definite YES. Surfboard ≈$700 Wetsuit ≈$400, The Fins ≈$100, and protection against infections & surfers ear? That's PRICELESS!
Yes, we keep your impressions on file for 4 years and within this time you can have as many spare sets made.
Yes, our custom swim and surf plugs are tailor-made and suitable for use in these conditions. However, it is essential to follow the guidance of your specialist, who can determine whether our custom plugs are appropriate for your specific medical condition.
We expect the typical lifetime to be 3 to 4 years although some natural anatomical changes to the ears may require an update sooner.
Please email our reception@earlab.com.au. We can guarantee proper fitting and assess whether any slight adjustments are necessary to ensure they fit accurately. Providing a close-up photo of the plugs in the ear may aid us in diagnosing any fitting issues.
That's because the Evoke's use only a single driver for the range of frequencies. All the other ACS IEMs have at least a bass driver, and a separate treble/ tweeter driver. So therefore the range of the Evokes is not as wide, so they need to compact all the parts in a tiny driver.
The cables ACS uses for IEMs have the 0.78mm variety of 2-pin. Therefore, the cables are interchangeable with other IEM cables that use this spec. However, there is another version of 2-pin connector on the market which has a 0.75mm pin, the ACS cables would not work with these ones. However, prior to ordering the cable for IEMs from ACS, we need to clarify about the position of the socket on the other IEMs. On the ACS IEMs, the socket is slightly recessed into the mould and shaped like the rectangular shape on the end of the cable connector. So if the other IEM’s cable had a cylinder shaped barrel on the 2-pin connector it wouldn’t properly fit into the recession. If the socket on the IEMs is not recessed, then it shouldn’t be a problem. If this explanation is unclear, it might be a good idea to ask client to refer to the banner image of the IEMs on our website or even to get him to take a picture of his IEMs and email them to us.
Anyone who needs a quieter sleep environment. Think shift-workers, people with a partner who snores, and those dealing with barking dogs or traffic noise.
The SleepSound attenuated about 25-27dB. It is a solid earplug and it attenuates about as much as a very good fitting foam plug.
Unlike off-the-shelf foam options, these earplugs are made for comfort – they’re soft, lightweight and fit your ear canal perfectly. That means you can comfortably lie on your side, without irritation. They also won’t fall out of your ear while you sleep – a major complaint for those who use foam earplugs.
While your custom product has the potential to last indefinitely, we recommend obtaining new ear impressions every 4 years. This is advised because the shape of your ear canals can undergo changes over time.
Silicone earplugs generally do not make the ears sweaty because silicone is a breathable material. However, individual experiences may vary.
